Enertrols Gold Line adjustable shock absorbers are preferred by design engineers because of their higher capacity, lower cost and versatility. They can be front or rear-mounted, using threads at either end of the body. Front mounting has three options: (A) directlythrough a drilled hole and secured by a Mounting Stop Collar (MSC), (B) screwed into a tapped hole and secured with a jam nut, or (C) optional screw-on flanges.
Rear mounting also has three options: (A) through a drilled hole and secured by a jam nut, (B) screwed into a tapped hole and secured by a jam nut, or (C) optional screw-on flanges. Screw-on options include square or rectangular flanges, lug or clevis fittings. ENERTROLS Positive Stop Collars (PSC) may be used with rear-mounted Primary-Mount Series shock absorbers. Both the MSC and PSC stops provide positive and precise work-positioning points.

Enertrols conventional Gold Line Fixed-Flange Series adjustable shock absorbers are interchangeable with our Primary-Mount Series equipped with optional screw-on flanges, as well as other manufacturers units of the same bore size. Additionally, they are lower priced, making their use very cost-advantageous to the OEM user-group.
A major feature of the fixed-flange design is positive set-down positioning. This eliminates adjustments on external stops, proximity sensors and limit switches when installing or changing shock absorbers.
Mounting styles available are: Rear Flange (R), Rectangular Rear Flange (RR), Front Flange (F), Rectangular Front Flange (RF) Lug (L) and Clevis (C). Other options include air-oil tanks for maximum energy-absorbing capacity, soft pads for impact sound reduction, proximity switches for sensing piston end-of-stroke, and extra-high temperature seals.

These new, high-capacity Enertrols models combine the features of both the Primary and Fixed-Flange series to offer an extremely versatile unit. It offers all standard mounting styles through the use of flanges that bold onto the ends of the body. Lug mounting bars are shown installed. With 6", 8" and 16" strokes, this model can handle loads up to 1,600,000 in.-lbs/cycle. These units are ideal for foundry, steel mill and similar heavy-duty applications.
